"For my part learning to play golf years ago opened another world for me. I learnt a game which fulfilled my competitive spirit. Golf provides all women, whatever level, access to enjoy the game of golf. One mixes with people you may never have met otherwise. Golf is a great leveller. Playing at other clubs and making new friends is a bonus"

Gill - Lady Member

Carole - Lady Member

"I like playing golf because it is an outdoor sport that can be played all year round. It is challenging but fun and the ladies are very sociable and inclusive. Bishopswood is a very friendly club. There are many competitions and fun events scheduled throughout the year which provides the opportunity to meet other members, both men and women. The ladies weekly roll up is very well attended and each week offers different playing partners, another way to meet members. The course is very pretty whatever the season and is well maintained."

A Welcome Meeting

When your child joins Bishopswood they will have a welcome meeting with the Junior Organiser. This enables us to understand what aspirations they have and gets them started on the road to achievement.

Friendly junior competitions take place so that players can obtain a handicap. Juniors with a WHS handicap can play in all club medals and Stableford competitions as age is not a restriction.

League Matches

Bishopswood is a member of the local junior league and play against other clubs from April through to October.
